At Naomh Barróg GAA Club, our sustainability mission is to lead with purpose and commitment, empowering our members, families, and the wider community to create a flourishing, healthier environment
We aim to break through sustainability challenges by fostering confidence, self-respect, and shared responsibility, rooted in the Gaelic Games ethos and our legacy of supporting future generations.
We are dedicated to raising awareness, deepening understanding, and inspiring action to address the suffering caused by human-driven environmental harm — especially for those most vulnerable to its effects, both locally and globally.
To become a beacon of sustainability in sport and community life — where environmental stewardship is second nature, and every generation grows up in a thriving, resilient, and compassionate Naomh Barróg community.
As proud custodians of our common home, we envision a future shaped by justice for all — where shared action and lasting care protect both the planet and those most impacted by environmental harm, ensuring a better community and world for another 50 years and beyond.
Promote biodiversity by enhancing green spaces in and around our club.
Reduce waste and increase recycling through local initiatives and education.
Lower our carbon footprint with energy-efficient practices and renewable energy where possible.
Conserve water through smarter infrastructure and rain harvesting exploration.
Encourage the use of sustainable, long-lasting gear and kits club-wide.
Foster habits of environmental care among players, members, and supporters.
Champion climate justice & equity by making it central to our sustainability education and action.
