A Chara,
The Club are organising a Reunion of former and present Club Members in Áras Bharróg on Saturday, December 28th at 6pm.
Here Club President Dick Fields introduces the Reunion:
Imagine, Naomh Barróg is celebrating its 50th Anniversary.
As we celebrate our Golden Jubilee, we want you to know we are thinking of you and remembering your involvement and commitment to the Club, whether for a few years during your childhood or for a longer time. I know circumstances and life choices influenced your life and in the direction it took you. The majority of our former members, are scattered throughout Dublin, many to different counties in Ireland and others to the four corners of our globe. As we celebrate our Golden Anniversary, we remember you, and want to acknowledge with gratitude, your contribution, your dedication and love for Naomh Barróg, and in helping us become the Club we are today.
Our Club was founded in Kilbarrack-Foxfield in 1974, primarily for the good of young people and we decided to use Gaelic Games as a means to challenge you, and your friends at the time, to grow with confidence, dignity and self-esteem and to become the person you have become. For many of you, Kilbarrack-Foxfield parish during your childhood was a wonderful and special place to grow up in, close to the sea, Howth Head, St Annes Estate, the opportunity to attend good schools and having a variety of great Clubs to be members of, along with Naomh Barróg, Kilbarrack United, The Running Club, Community Games, The Scouts, The Boxing Club and so many others.
As we celebrate our 50 Years, we want you to be part of it, and to join us in our celebrations as we remember with gratitude and pride, what the Club has done with your involvement, no matter how small, our successes and our achievements on and off the field, from our foundation to the present day. The Club are now planning how we are going to do that and make you feel that you are still one of us in heart, and letting you know what will be happening in the Club.
Three activities that are going to involve you are:
1. A Reunion of our members,
2. A Mass of Celebration, Thanksgiving and Remembrance of our deceased Club Members and Family members.
3. Forwarding your snippets from our Club History and Trips down memory lane to pro.naomhbarrog.dublin@gaa.ie

On a more sombre note, this is a time, when we will remember those who are no longer with us. All our former Members, Mentors, players, and their family members have left us.
They will not be forgotten but remembered with respect and gratitude at our Mass of Remembrance and Thanksgiving in St John the Evangelist Church, Kilbarrack-Foxfield on the 25th of January 2025 at 6pm.
There will be refreshments and the opportunity to meet friends in Áras Bharróg after the Mass.
Naomh Barróg looks forward to reconnecting with you and meeting you again. This is important, so please, reach out, get in touch and forward this email, to your friends who were involved and played with you, to remind them of this Reunion, just in case they don’t receive this email and information.
